Check out the "orbs" in this picture!
So tonight Tasha, John and I went on a Haunted bus tour that the Rockford Public Library hosts in the month of October. The very first stop in front of the court house downtown. Our "Spiritual Guide" Mark shared with us that there was a very angry man who hung around that area and then turned to the building across the street and told us there was an old lady looking out the window at us. Five flights up and 4 windows over. Someone asked what she looked like and he said she looked like she was dressed in 70's clothing. then he said the building next to that had a man that was cleaning the building, like he came into work one day and didn't know he pasted so he just continued to do his job.
The next stop was at Cedar Bluff Cemetery. (which if you click on the link will lead you to my grandpa's burial record.) So Tasha tells Mark that our Grandpa was buried there and he say's "Oh yea, he's standing right behind you. He died of cardiovascular disease (heart attack?) he lost a lot of weight and he's laughing that your here." Well our grandpa did have cancer but maybe in the end it was heart failure that killed him.. Have to double check with Grandma.
We visited a few graves and at one Kathi our tour guide tells me that Carrie lived in the house off Rural behind Hilander. So of course I piped up and shared my story of Mackenzie seeing a little girl ghost a few months ago in that same yard. Oh my heart was pounding after sharing that story with everyone.
Anyway lots of good ghost stories and got to meet some interesting people. One guy Bill he brought along his cameras and recording equipment and he shared a creepy story about Tinker Swiss cottage that happened to him last week. He had two pennies throw at him as he ran out of there and said that he did go back in but was never alone the rest of the night.
Another guy Al he lived in some haunted old farm house out by Lena, Il. He said he had 9 spirits living there, some of them being animal spirits and one named Sarah who had told him she was his soul-mate.
It was really neat to hear stories and share stories tonight with everyone. I even talked to Kathi about Rachael's old house and she wants me to email her the address so she can have a lady who works at the library do some research on the house.
